Xavier Guille des Buttes has spent his entire professional career in the pharmaceutical industry. For more than thirty years, he held management positions in the French subsidiary of the German group Schering AG. He successively held the positions of Marketing Director, General Manager of the Pharmaceuticals Division and Chairman of the Management Board until June 2006.
A member of the Hemarina Board of Directors since June 2013, he assists a number of companies in the healthcare sector as a director (e.g. Genfit, Delpharm Holding, Diagast), Xavier Guille des Buttes also chairs the Fondation de la Catho de Lille (Higher Education) and is a Knight in the Order of the Legion of Honour. He is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Commerciales d’Angers (ESSCA), the Institut du Commerce International (ICI) and the Institut de Gestion Prévisionnelle et de Contrôle de Gestion (ICG),
