HEMHealing®

Currently in development, HEMHealing^® Universal Dressing is a novel therapeutic solution for the treatment of chronic hypoxic wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure sores, etc. or other wounds for which there is currently no satisfactory therapeutic solution.

The lack of oxygen prevents the healing process from starting and the cells in the damaged area from multiplying. This new dressing allows targeted oxygen supply to the injured areas. This new dressing allows for the targeted delivery of oxygen to injured areas.

The innovation of HEMHealing^® consists in providing continuous controlled oxygenation on the wound itself by including Hemarina technology directly in the dressing matrix, thus enabling the healing process. In practical terms, this dressing would avoid the use of heavy oxygenation devices such as the hyperbaric chamber to restart cell multiplication and wound budding.

The dressing has great potential in medicine. In France alone, there are more than 350,000 chronic wounds per year waiting for effective treatment¹.
